This is the divine design of the Body of Christ and one of the primary ways this is accomplished is through the Ministry of Helps. The Ministry of Helps is a supernatural gift from God set in the church to help the local pastor fulfill his God given vision. Ephesians 4:11 (NIV) So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. The purpose of the five-fold ministry is to equip His (God’s) people for works of service. The Apostle Paul uses the physical body to describe the Body of Christ. We are one body but consisting of many parts. The Body of Christ is a multi-member body that should work together regardless of talent, title, ethnical, or economical difference. Through this powerful, vital ministry, you honor God by unleashing your God-given abilities to assist your pastor and the Body of Christ to fulfill our God given mandate to impact and make a difference in our local community. 1 Corinthians 12:12 (NIV) Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. 1. Another primary way this is accomplished is through the Ministry of Finances. Just as God has a plan for your life, i.e salvation, marriage, singleness, etc, He also has a plan for your finances. The Ministry of Finances will explore the importance of faithful stewardship and expose the wonderful promises God has given His children concerning financial success. STEWARDSHIP - A steward is anyone who manages or oversees the affairs of another person and Jesus has taught us many lesson regarding the importance of stewardship.Luke 16:10 (KJV) He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. TITHE - The word tithe simply means tenth. As it relates to our discussion, it more specifically refers to giving a tenth of our increase to the Lord.Malachi 3:8 (KJV) Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.Jesus Teaches About Tithing - Matthew 23:23 (KJV) “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.” OFFERING - Today, the offering is simply a financial gift of any amount that you desire to give. The freewill offering was a sacrifice regulated by God’s standards in the Mosaic Law, but it was completely voluntary, in addition to what is required by a vow, tithe, or pledge. (Leviticus 23:38 NIV) God’s Covenant Promise - Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV) But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.3.
