I pray this message reaches you walking in health, favor, and overflowing joy. On Sunday, August 24th, we will gather as a church family to celebrate the life and legacy of our beloved Bishop, Dr. Mikel Brown, as we honor him for his birthday. This is more than a moment of celebration—it’s a sacred opportunity to reflect on the tremendous impact Bishop has made in our lives through his leadership, wisdom, and tireless service to the Kingdom.
The Word of God reminds us in 1 Timothy 5:17 (NIV): "The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching." We are blessed to have such a leader among us—atrue shepherd who leads with love, grace, and divine vision.
As part of this celebration, we will present a corporate love offering to honor Bishop in a meaningful way. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 9:11, “If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?”
As leaders, let’s set the pace by leading with generosity and unity. We are inviting each leader to sow a seed of $500 into the life of our Bishop—not out of obligation, but out of love, gratitude, and biblical honor. This is not a demand—it’s a heartfelt invitation to honor the gift God has given us in Bishop Brown.
This is our moment to lead not just in word, but in action. Let us inspire our church family with our unity and heartfelt generosity.
