Marriage Mechanics

We are helping couples to succeed! Marriage is an institution ordained and created by God. It is a perfect institution, but the people in it are not perfect. Therefore, here at Christian Joy Center, we created the Marriage Mechanics sessions to assist couples to build and improve their marriage through strengthening their lines of communications.

Marriage Mechanics sessions are held every other month and they are FREE of charge. The upcoming session is always posted in several prominent places on this website, including this page. These sessions will help put the spark back into YOUR marriage with laughter, great topics, and an awesome question and answer period.

Of all of the classes that we offer, this one is the most requested and most attended. These sessions are open to anyone and everyone; you don't need to be a member of CJC to attend. The single adult is welcome to attend, too. Children are not allowed to be in attendance and we do not offer childcare during these sessions.

Counseling

We do provide premarital and marital counseling to the members of Christian Joy Center. Due to the high demand and number of counselors that we have we do not offer this service to the public. As a member you may log-in at the membership section of this website and get further details for your counseling needs.

Other Marriage Events

Dr. Brown also hosts a marriage seminar called "Just the 2 of Us Marriage Seminar". This seminar is normally a two or three day event that is held outside of El Paso. Previously, this seminar has been held at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero, New Mexico.

The "Just the 2 of Us Marriage Seminar" covers a wide range of topics such as communication, raising children, lovemaking, finances, and a host of other topics. When necessary, there may be an emergency session where Dr. Brown will speak privately with couples about their marriage.

The hallmark of this event is the "Save the Last Dance for Me" dinner. It is a semi-formal dinner and dance with your spouse. We have heard couples say that they have never danced with their spouse! This will be one memorable evening.
